YouTube Channel

This channel features work by students of Motion Media (a year 8-10 Media elective) and various other subjects, as well as the school’s media teacher Dave Vertigan.

Motion Media aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of film language and the structure of media messages. While it involves an informal media analysis component, the elective’s focus and emphasis is on the production of film and animation products. Motion Media teaches skills relevant to the pre-production, production and post production phases of media products. The technical skills explicitly taught include the use of video cameras, tripods, clapper boards, microphones and boom poles. Software covered includes the following Adobe packages, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition and Animate.
